A free cryptocurrency wallet that uses a holistic ecosystem
Vite Wallet is a very ambitious, but potentially doomed, crypto wallet app that attempts to merge how we use and transfer fiat money with how cryptocurrency is used and moved. The premise is laudable, but may prove to be undoable in real-world settings because of its complexity and deviation away from classic cryptocurrency principles like decentralized operation.
In its attempts to keep all the crypto functions in one place, the app itself actually resembles a banking app like U-Mobile Union or Easypaisa more than an e-wallet cryptocurrency ledger. This holistic approach causes several math and security problems, but may allow several types of fee-free transactions and transfers.
What is a Vite Wallet quota?
You have a set limit on how much you may transact using your wallet. This is your quota, and you use it up as you use the app’s functions. Your quota amount recovers over time, or you can recharge it by paying, which they call “Getting a stake.”
Why does Vite Wallet keep crashing?
The ambitious project has problems keeping itself secure, active, online, and usable. Some may manifest on the user's end with things like the app slowing down or crashing. Simply restart the app and try again, making sure to force-stop it before restarting the app.
Undermining the decentralized premise
Vite Wallet is not the first blockchain wallet project to use the technology while abandoning the decentralized notion. However, this app now lives and dies on if Vite Labs continues to provide the computational power. Some crypto-currency enthusiasts may not be happy that their wallet could become useless without warning.
Poorly tutorialized across the board
Almost every explained features in this cryptocurrency wallet is explained using esoteric terms and poorly defined terms. The best tutorials are on third-party published websites. The tutorials provided by Vite Wallet are just plain awful.
